YouTube ghost banning comments

I accidentally discovered that YouTube wasn’t showing anyone but me my comments on various YouTube videos.

I was surprised and discovered that a whole bunch of people have been complaining about this since at least 2013 and that Google has chosen to completely ignore all complaints from the people they censor.

I am guessing that I am being included because I am an out-spoken critic of Google’s censorship of homeless people.

Anyway, here are copies of the comments that Google’s YouTube is certain are complaintly inappropriate and that nobody should ever see. I happen to have access to a website where I can independently show my comments.

Decide for yourself whether or not my comments are worthy of official Google YouTube censorship.

replies to videos by The VeganAtheist

You will notice that I made comments on numerous videos by The VeganAtheist. This is because I found his videos entertaining and informative and I was impressed with his attempts to avoid any ad hominem attacks. I kept watching his videos and at the time of this writing I intend to watch more of his videos.

Because The VeganAtheist tried to remain calm and reasonable, I guessed that he might consider my replies, possibly even change some of his opinions.

oldest version of Christianity

You Can’t Ask For Proof | STUPID CHRISTIAN Comments #3

by The VeganAtheist

At 4:00 into your video: “Not only do Catholics represent the largest population of Christians on the planet, they’re the oldest sect.”

    FALSE

Well, actually the first part (largest Christian population) is correct.

The Roman Catholic Church did not officially separate from the Orthodox Church (the second largest population of Christians) until the 11th Century. The process (called the East-West Schism) took years and did not involve a single act, but started in 1053 and the Pope and the Ecumenical Patriarch ex-communicated each other in 1054. Note that since 1965, each side cancelled the ex-communications of 1054 and have met twice a year in attempts to find a way to reunite the two largest Christian churches.

The earliest known Christian churches each had their own independent leadership. The modern Protestant Bible is based primarily on the beliefs and writings of the Church of Antioch and the modern Roman Catholic and Coptic Bibles are based primarily on the beliefs and writings of the Church of Alexandria.

The earliest date I can quickly find claimed for any Christian church is the claim of Saint Mark founding the Coptic Church in the year 42 (a claim completely unsupported by any contemporary historical or archaeological evidence).

The earliest known archaeological evidence of Christianity is Papyrus Rylands Greek 457, also known as Rylands Library Papyrus P52, a fragment that contains portions of four verses from the Gospel of John, which is typically dated between 117 and 138. This date is viewed with skepticism because the dating was done exclusively by handwriting analysis (prior to the printing press, writing styles drifted in well-known patterns). Some scholars date the fragment to as late as the early 3rd century. Note that this fragment was found in Egypt is from the early Coptic Church, which is one of several leading candidates for the oldest Christian church.

who created computers and the internet

Science is Evil | STUPID CHRISTIAN Comments #4

by The VeganAtheist

4:00 into your video, you state: “Do you realize that all of the technology that went behind the computer and the internet that you used to type that comment was developed by people engaged in science?”

    FALSE

While there were scientists involved, the vast majority of the work was done by engineers. Additionally, much of the foundational work was done by mathematicians.

In particular, the mathematics essential for creating switching networks and later computers was developed by English mathematician George Boole. The modern computer and all of the basic principles for software were figured out by British mathematician Alan Turing (see the Turing machine). The basic principles for programming languages were figured out by American mathematician Alonzo Church (see lambda calculus).

The logic gates in computers were figured out by British engineer William Shockley. The world wide web was developed by British engineer Tim Berners-Lee.

Please give mathematicians and engineers their appropriate credit for the development of the computer and the internet.

divine and the universe

Lying for Islam | STUPID MUSLIM Comments #3

by The VeganAtheist

At 7:40 of your video you ask:

“Ok, the universe is god and god is the universe. We already have a label for the universe. Why do we need to label it god as well? What does adding god to do our understanding of the universe?”

This is a common question I hear atheists ask. The double-label is an artifact of the introduction of Christianity into the Germanic cultures.

The Anglo-Saxons and other Germanic people did not have a word that matched the Christian view of god and an archaic Germanic word, “gott” (meaning the libation poured on a religious idol), was appropriated for describing the Christian deity. Previously, the Germanic cultures and religion had no need for the word god.

The ancient Egyptian religion had the word NTR (often written as neter or netjer in English texts), which may or may not have influenced the eventual English word “nature”. Christian scholars of the 1700s, 1800s, and 1900s typically translated the Egyptian word NTR as “god” because almost all of them wanted to claim that the ancient Egyptian texts supposedly supported the Christian faith. Of modern English terms, either “Mother Nature” or “Goddess” would be more accurate, but still incomplete.

Like many ancient cultures, the ancient Egyptians had only one word for both the ultimate divine and for all of everything (in the case of the Egyptians, the word NTR).

So, the existence of two separate words is an artifact of Christianity and is not representative of many ancient religions.

And the ancient Egyptian word NTR was much more than just the universe. The word NTR is all of everything, not just the one universe we are currently in.

The earliest Egyptian writings claimed that NTR was inherently beyond human understanding.

Imhotep, the chief architect of the first successful pyramid, inventor of triage, and possible inventor to trigonometry, claimed that NTR could be understood by expanding knowledge, and that mathematics was the fundamental defining nature of NTR. For thousands of years the Egyptian priesthood debated between naturalistic and religious views of NTR.

science, mathematics, and philosophy

I’d Rather Believe in Aliens | STUPID MUSLIM Comments #5

by The VeganAtheist

At 1:49 of your video, you claim:

“In either case, beliefs that can not be verified by the scientific method are unfounded and should be dismissed.”

First, all science uses scientific induction, which is actually a logical fallacy. The ironically famous proof of the fallibility of scientific induction was demonstrated with the 1697 discovery of black swans in Australia. The reason that modern science uses the term “scientific theory” is specifically to acknowledge that the scientific method is limited to only the well-documented observations and subject to change with new data.

More generally, two very important intellectual fields that do do not use the scientific method are philosophy and mathematics.

In your open letters to Matt Dillahunty, you personally used the philosophical field of ethics to support your position against Matt’s claims. You have personally used philosophy in your belief system. Philosophy almost never relies on the scientific method.

Science heavily relies on mathematics. In another video you personally discarded the contributions of mathematicians to the invention and development of computers and the internet.

Mathematics literally never uses the scientific method. But science almost always uses mathematics. Always uses mathematics if you consider deductive reasoning and mathematical induction as parts of mathematics rather than parts of philosophy (probably most correct to view those as shared by mathematics and philosophy). Additionally, science often uses statistical inference, probability, quaternions, topology, and other mathematics. Science is almost always expressed in mathematical formulas.

Unlike either science or philosophy, all of mathematics can be asserted and described in an elegant, non-contradictory manner. Of all systems of human thought, mathematics is the only intellectual belief that can be absolutely proven.

I would suggest that you should not dismiss all of mathematics and you have in other videos already demonstrated that you do not actually dismiss ethics (a field of philosophy).

addendum

After posting my comment, I noticed that at approximately 5:50 of this exact same video, you make claims based on ethics.

public nudity

Perfect Qur’an | STUPID MUSLIM Comments #6

by The VeganAtheist

At 6:01 of your video, you state:

“Sure we have laws regarding nudity in public places, but to suggest that mandatory covering of one’s hair and entire body is necessary to avoid eternal punishment is irrational and oppressive.”

I strongly disagree with your acceptance of governmental restrictions on clothing or lack of clothing. I suspect this is a part of Christian beliefs that you internalized at an early age without ever giving it thought.

In modern society, the word “naturism” appeared in writing for the first time in 1778 in France. We do not know for certain when the modern movement started, but it is now well-represented in FInland, France, Germany, Poland, Portugal, Spain, the United Kingdom, Canada, the United States, Indonesia, Nepal, and Thailand.

In the ancient Egyptian society, nudity was extremely common, with expensive hand-crafted cloth (before the industrial revolution) generally being reserved for important social functions or when required by weather conditions. Even farmers often worked nude. When farmers — both men and women — did wear clothing, it was typically a simple white skirt.

Both the male penis and the female breasts (as well as numerous other human body parts) are part of the Egyptian medu neter (which the Greeks called hieroglyph).

Neither the Egyptian culture nor the Egyptian religion had any negative attitude about the human body and daily nudity was common even in the cities.

In the 1800s and 1900s, most Christian and Muslim Egyptologists regularly burned and destroyed large numbers of ancient Egyptian scrolls as they were discovered because it was normal to have illustrations of nude men, women, and children. Even more horrific, the Christian and Muslim Egyptologists destroyed ancient Egyptian scrolls because they often had positive illustrations of human sexual activity as a normal part of human life and culture. From still-existing artwork carved into temple walls, we know that some ancient Egyptian religious ceremonies and rituals involved human sexual activity.

One of the most famous of all Egyptian religious ceremonies was the Festival of Bast in the giant Temple of Per-Basti (Bubastis), held four times a year and estimated to involve hundreds of thousands of Egyptian teenagers enjoying their first sexual experience in beautiful religious gardens.

The form of dance now called “belly dancing” was introduced into Egypt from the Pygmies during trade between the two peoples. This intentionally erotic form of dance was part of religious rituals in temples of bed and was originally used to depict the natural human coming of age through awareness of sexuality.

I am opposed to any laws imposing religious fear of the human body on anyone who does not share that religion.

default position

Kent Hovind = Smart Man | STUPID CHRISTIAN Comments #12

by The VeganAtheist

At 7:04 of your video, you said:

“The default position on any claim ought to be disbelief until sufficient evidence warrants belief.”

Huh? Seems to me that the natural (and also the default safest) position on any claim Êis normally whatever is most consistent with one’s intuition.

Intuition is the fast brain method. It quickly summarizes any past personal experience Êthat the brain determines might fit the current pattern and provides the probability that will most protect from immediate danger.

Rational thought is much more accurate than intuition, but it takes much longer.

Therefore, the safest and wisest default position is to accept one’s initial “hunch” based on personal intuition and past experience. If the immediate situation is successfully survived, there is plenty of time to engage in rational thought.

I’m a fan of rational thought too, but I don’t understand why atheists seem to reflexively discard and ignore any role for intuition and feelings in arriving at an immediate default position to any new claim.

If a complete stranger shouts “run, he’s got a gun”, it is probably in my immediate benefit to run. Probably away from whatever direction the stranger is also running away from. Unless my immediate intuition causes me to be suspicious of the stranger.

warning:

The courts have already ruled in multiple cases that a person who starts preparing a religious defense (including gathering certificates and other paperwork) after arrest loses all chance to use the late religious defense. It is essential that you prepare your defense before you are arrested. Adequate preparation may even prevent arrest.

This website is concerned with religious matters and only obliquely discusses the law. I strongly recommend that medical marijuana ministers rely on a high quality lawyer.

I (Milo) use my own religion as an example, because this is the religion I know well. I strongly urge people to get together with their lawyer and prepare a similar discussion for their own religion. Again, my religion is only an example.

Good news: Many people over the years have successfully used Pr Ntr Kmt religious cannabis certificates. The author of this website has personally several times over more than a decade shown various police Pr Ntr Kmt documentation and the police have politely returned the religious cannabis. There are at least two Pr Ntr Kmt cannabis ministers who have been released after the police discovered several pounds of religious cannabis (although the police kept the cannabis). There are numerous real world successes.

Reality: If the government decides it wants to “get you”, then your only chance is if you can afford a really, really good lawyer.

The law is whatever the government decides the law is.

The rights you heard about in grade school only apply if you can afford a great lawyer. Public defenders are under-budgeted and only want to process paperwork for plea bargains. They simply don’t have the time or money for trials.

We don’t want to discourage anyone from worshiping with cannabis, but we do want to strongly warn everyone that you have a significant risk of long term imprisonment or worse, especially outside of major industrialized nations.

Please act responsibly. Please hire a lawyer if you can possibly afford to do so.
